In this exciting front office role, you will gain exposure to Macquarie senior management and have the ability to drive policy across the Group. This role is available at the VP or SVP level and will be based in Houston, TX or New York, NY.

What role will you play?
You will focus on Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) and support our business in managing the risks and opportunities, including climate, across all Commodities and Global Markets business lines.
Your key objective is to enable origination through the enhancement of the divisions business risk management capabilities and support the growth in our ESG-related commercial offerings. You will work with the Head of ESG to find practical, and structural solutions to ESG issues and identify, assess, and develop risk mitigation strategies for risks that may impact a transaction or new business. The role also leads the implementation of frameworks to manage climate risk, as well as other commercial, regulatory, and reporting priorities related to ESG.
You will also support business teams in developing and promoting new ESG-related product offerings including those linked to energy transition and decarbonization for their clients.
Finally, you will be the provide subject matter expertise on ESG issues, including training, market intelligence and other expertise to support the business.
What you offer:
- At least 10 years’ experience working in the ESG space.
- Financial services (bank, institutional investor, or similar) or energy sector experience is desired.
- Including conducting detailed transactional environmental and social due diligence, you will be a self-starter with a commercial mindset, and prepared to drive outcomes, execution, adoption, and change.
- Knowledge of workplace health and safety, ESG-related products and decarbonization in a banking environment is helpful.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Spanish or Portuguese is a plus.

Salary range for this position: $150,000 – $300,000/Year. Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, peer and market data, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. You may also be eligible for an annual discretionary incentive compensation award.
