The Business Analyst, Responsible Investing will support the RI team in delivering a best-in-class RI program across T. Rowe Price. The BA will support a range of work across the RI team to include assisting in the management of exclusion lists, tracking of ESG engagements, and helping the RI team with ad hoc quantitative requests. Areas of focus include mailbox management, metrics and analytics reporting, business process monitoring, and special projects. 

The position provides deep knowledge of our investment organization and how we interact with Investments and partners across the organization, as well as an understanding of the business management function.


  • Support the Business Management team in managing and monitoring the ESG exclusion process
  • Collaborate with colleagues across Investments and Investment Compliance to manage and respond to queries sent to the team mailbox related to client and fund ESG guidelines
  • Contribute to the design and implementation of policy, processes, and governance practices that improve efficiency and reduce risk across ESG tools and systems
  • Collaborate with Business Management team in support of recurring and ad hoc requests as required by the RI team
  • Develop and maintain documents used in support of and to communicate with internal business partners
  • Provide routine and ad hoc report analytic support for engagement monitoring and engagement target tracking

Required skills and experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or the equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
  • Outstanding analytical skills, both quantitative, and qualitative.
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate well – oral and written
  • Ability to learn and work with multiple systems effectively
  • Multitask, prioritize work collaboratively and independently
  • Resourceful, self-motivated, and intellectually curious
  • Excellent Excel skills
  • Capable of building and maintaining strong relationships

Preferred skills and experience

  • Work experience in the investment industry and an understanding of its emerging challenges
  • CFA charter not required, but fluency with finance and accounting concepts is helpful
  • Strong problem solver, good communicator, analytical and capable of collaborating with a diverse set of internal partners
