  • We are looking for a Testing Specialist to help us optimize and scale our statistical testing capabilities for ESG/Sustainable Investing OpenInvest Research Solutions. We are a leading provider of ESG/Sustainable Investing data-driven investment solutions, and we are looking for a committed team member to help grow and maintain our data testing capabilities across a wide range of solutions use cases.
  • Using your knowledge of ESG data sets, statistical analysis, and stakeholder relationship, you will curate OpenInvest’s testing capabilities, routinely test OpenInvest Research solutions for suitability in applicable use cases, provide input to needed testing tool requirement and communicate testing results to a cross-functional audience of research, engineering, marketing, sales enablement, product, and data management stakeholders.

Job Responsibilities

  • Support efforts to test and maintain OpenInvest Research solutions, including suitability testing for identified use cases in products, reporting, diagnostics, and others as we expand our solutions to new offerings.
  • Manage the end-to-end process of new OpenInvest research solutions, including but not limited to testing data sets for statistical biases across asset classes, regions, and other parameters, reporting results that fall outside the acceptable range of expected results, validating testing results and facilitating the sign off of results with OpenInvest and JP Morgan stakeholders.
  • Partner with Research Development and Engineering on new testing tool requirements definition, test new technical features and provide a continuous feedback loop on tool performance and issues requiring improvement.
  • Serve as the single point of contact for OpenInvest Research solutions testing requirements across both OpenInvest and JP Morgan stakeholders And Liase with OpenInvest, Research, Development and Engineering teams to understand technical and operational pain points realted to testing and share updates on OpenInvest, JPM and industry solutions testing trends and identify new areas for testing improvement and partnership.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert on testing methodologies, frameworks, tools while tracking and communicating updates to OpenInvest and J.P. Morgan stakeholders for improvements to drive efficiency and speed in implementation of new OpenInvest Research solutions.
  • Represent OpenInvest Research solutions testing needs at relevant OpenInvest and J.P. Morgan forums where testing prioritization and resourcing are discussed.
  • Research market best practices and opportunities for continued enhancements of Sustainable Investing solutions testing; conduct market assessment to inform existing testing prioritization and new testing tool

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • 7 – 10 years of experience in statistical and data analysis, preferably with a background in ESG/Sustainable Investing data sets.
  • Knowledge of industry standard data analysis testing parameters, including distribution, normalization, and bias testing
  • Willingness to be proactive and vocal about testing needs with a solutions-oriented mindset to solving complex methodology, technical and operational challenges
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills
  • Passion for ESG/Sustainable Investing issues and interest in a values-led approach to sustainable investing
  • Strong analytical mindset with background in statistical analysis and testing toolsets
  • Strong initiative, interpersonal skills ,entrepreneurial spirit and ability to think creatively, while also being able to collaborate with others.

Preferred Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills

  • 3+ years of experience in ESG, Sustainability, SRI or Impact Investing Experience evaluating new data sets for suitability, especially in an ESG/Sustainability context
  • Research specialization/background in an area applicable to Sustainable Investing
  • Experience in ESG-focused education or communication efforts
  • Experience with Python
