We’re currently looking to hire a Responsible Investment Strategy Associate to join Legal and General Investment Management.

The Responsible Investment Strategy Associate role is designed to support the Responsible Investment (RI) Strategy team within Investments, in order to position LGIM Investments at the forefront of responsible investing across the spectrum of client objectives, ranging from integration to sustainable investments.

The Responsible Investment Strategy team work with investment teams across asset classes to integrate Responsible Investments insights into their investment processes and products. This includes framing LGIM’s top-down strategy and ongoing governance of the Responsible Investment processes and product, as well as driving Responsible Investment thought leadership and communication 

  • Support the strategy and governance of RI products and processes (50%)
  • Conduct supporting regulatory, market, client and sustainable investment research and analysis to inform LGIM’s RI frameworks, methodologies and product strategy
  • Support LGIM’s investment team input in sustainable investing regulatory programmes
  • Support the oversight committee in consolidating and analysing portfolio performance in sustainability
  • Support thought leadership and communication of LGIM’s sustainability agenda (50%)
  • Conduct research on sustainability themes at a macro level
  • Assess data providers in their ability to meet LGIM’s sustainability data needs
  • Support communications to improve commercial positioning of LGIM
  • Ascertain LGIM’s competitive positioning vis-à-vis broader industry on our RI approach, marketing/brand, product offering
  • Scan and analyse broader market trends for consideration in our strategy and proposition
  • Develop and coordinate content that promotes LGIM’s Responsible Investment approach, including the following:
    • Narrative decks
    • Conference talking points for key spokespersons
    • Firmwide sustainability-related reports
    • Thought leadership written across Investments
    • Responses to bespoke/complex questions on LGIM’s firmwide approach to RFPs, DDQs, surveys, client and media enquiries
    • Internal communications
    • To hit the ground running in this role you’ll have previous experience and interest in sustainability or have worked within a sustainability team within an Asset Management firm. Preferred
    • Prior experience working with Investment strategies
    • Demonstrate advanced research and analytical capabilities
    • You’ll be an advanced user Microsoft Excel as well as being proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
