The Position

The successful candidate will have prior experience in implementing a firm’s efforts on ESG integration, stewardship and reporting. They will be focused on delivering ESG insights to our clients and supporting the integration of ESG within the investment process. It is critical that this individual be a creative thinker and able to collaborate with a broad group of stakeholders.

Responsibilities 

  • Client reporting
    • Manage quarterly client ESG reporting deliverables
    • Create custom reports in response to ad hoc client questions
  • External reporting
    • Coordinate annual PRI reporting
    • Create firm-level reporting such as TCFD report
  • Marketing
    • Create and maintain RI marketing material (slides, reports, case studies)
    • Manage web content
    • Create benchmarking reports against clients, competitors and market standards
    • Identify client trends and report back to relevant internal stakeholders
  • Research and investment support
    • Manage internal databases
    • Conduct in-depth issuer-level ESG research
    • Support investment team in ESG integration
    • Calculate portfolio-level ESG metrics and carry out scenario analysis
    • Track regulatory developments
    • Act as a subject matter expert for internal stakeholders
  • Stewardship
    • Track and report on engagements with our shareholdings
    • Create proxy voting reports
  • Operations
    • Assist Compliance team in implementing client screens
    • Create and update ESG content in internal RFP database
    • Assist in selecting and managing external ESG vendors

Qualifications

The successful applicant is likely to have some or all of…

  • Experience working at an asset management firm
  • Familiarity with the global financial services industry
  • Experience working with institutional investor clients
  • Experience of creating or using ESG research and data
  • Understanding of ESG initiatives and reporting frameworks
  • Quantitative analytical skills
  • Ability to create written outputs for clients
  • Desire to build a career in responsible investing
  • Imagination, ability to generate new ideas and challenge the status quo
