Goldman Sachs Asset Management Private Credit is one of the world’s largest and longest-standing alternative credit investing platforms with approximately $100bn of AUM and 160 investment professionals based in the US, Europe, Asia and Australia. GS Private Credit is a dynamic platform with significant cross-pollination across strategies – direct lending (middle market and large cap performing credit), opportunistic and structured investments across debt and equity. GSAM Private Credit is seeking a highly driven individual to join the business unit COO team.

Responsibilities

  • 50-75% of time: ESG Program Development
    • Assisting ESG Lead with regulatory and client ESG requests and reporting (TCFD, SFDR, UNPRI, etc)
    • Managing ESG annual monitoring workflow across platform 
    • Working with Investment team members to conduct dedicated ESG diligence, climate risk assessments, and other diligence during underwriting
  • 50-25% of time: Private Credit COO
    • Playing a key role in driving global initiatives to streamline currently in-place process and/or to support business development
    • Facilitating the internal Credit Investment Committee process and deal allocation
    • Coordinating investment offering correspondence between external clients and deal teams 
    • Producing and distributing external/internal marketing materials as well as business-critical presentations
    • Managing various recurring reporting for senior leadership and internal GS stakeholders
    • Recruiting and retaining talent by driving campus / lateral recruiting process and managing resource allocation within business to align with divisional target and business strategy
    • Overseeing floor administration, entitlement requests, expense approvals 

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1-2 years of prior work experience in a relevant field
  • Strong quantitative, analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
  • Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and follow-through
  • Team player with positive attitude and strong work ethic
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Ability to self-direct, analyze and evaluate and form independent judgments
  • Ability to effectively interact and build relationships with senior management and global stakeholders 
  • Commercially savvy with ability to exercise discretion with respect to highly confidential/sensitive information
  • Integrity, ethical standards and sound judgment

Salary Range

The expected base salary for this New York, New York, United States-based position is $110000-$125000. In addition, you may be eligible for a discretionary bonus if you are an active employee as of fiscal year-end.
