Key Responsibilities:
- Continue to develop the sustainability framework of Finance in Motion in collaboration with relevant departments and external stakeholders
- Lead strategic initiatives within the company on impact and sustainability, such as carbon footprinting (including project management)
- Contribute to shaping sustainability-related positions and deliver capacity building
- Monitor sustainable finance market developments and industry-specific topics and advise on relevant actions for Finance in Motion and its funds to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements and impact investing best practices (e.g. Paris alignment, SFDR, EU Taxonomy, TCFD, CSRD)
- Contribute to fund-raising presentations and impact & sustainability reporting; contribute to exchanges on impact and sustainability matters with internal and external stakeholders
What we expect:
- University degree in economics, environmental science, development finance or a related field
- Professional experience and track record in sustainability and sustainable finance, preferably gained within impact investment, private equity/venture capital or consulting organizations in Europe and/or emerging markets
- In-depth knowledge and applied experience in at least one of the following subjects and good overview knowledge in the others:
- The EU Action Plan for Sustainable Finance and associated regulations (SFDR, EU Taxonomy, CSRD)
- International sustainable finance regulatory developments (SDR, local taxonomies etc.)
- Carbon accounting and climate data
- ESG standards and impact management frameworks
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail combined with the ability to draw actionable conclusions and pragmatic recommendations for decision-makers
- Open, engaging and persuasive communication style, strong writing and presentation skills
- Excellent English language skills; knowledge of other languages of Finance in Motion’s countries of operation is considered a plus
