Salary Range £52,300 – £59,390 per annum (effective 1 July 2023) inclusive of Inner London Weighting

This is an exciting opportunity to join City Bridge Trust (CBT), as the Social Investment Portfolio Lead, to help us take forward and deliver our funding strategy. CBT is the charitable funding arm of Bridge House Estates (BHE) a 900-year-old historic charity of with the City of London Corporation is Trustee.

CBT is a vibrant, innovative funder supporting charitable activity across London.  Our vision is for London to be a city where everyone can thrive and we aim to reduce inequality and grow stronger, more resilient and thriving communities.  As the Social Investment Portfolio Lead, you will make a significant contribution towards the successful delivery of this strategy.

The charity is about to start an ambitious new phase of work, launching plans for a place-based social investment programme that helps reduce inequality and grow stronger, more resilient and thriving communities.

You will lead sector and internal consultations to scope how social investments can contribute to our social goals and overall investment strategy. You will analyse and recommend investment opportunities, place, and manage agreed holdings, develop grant-making programmes, and build relationships with other social investors to identify partnership opportunities.

You will play a key role in establishing this next phase of the charity’s work, helping ensure we direct more money to a wider range of social purpose organisations and achieve our ambitions for a balanced investment portfolio that meets the charity’s social and financial targets.
