Blackstone Credit – Sustainable Resources Group, Associate
Business Unit Overview:
Blackstone Credit is one of the world’s largest credit-focused asset managers, with $257 billion in AUM. We seek to generate attractive risk-adjusted returns for our clients by investing across the entire corporate credit market, from public debt to private loans. Our capital supports a wide range of companies across sectors and geographies, enabling businesses to expand, invest, and navigate changing market environments.
Blackstone Credit’s Sustainable Resources Group (“BXC SRG”) is a market leader in renewable energy and sustainable infrastructure. The firm estimates its energy transition portfolio has a fair market value of over $20bn as of June 30, 2023. BXC SRG employs a broad and opportunistic strategy ranging from senior secured, preferred equity, and common equity investments across both the private and public markets. The group targets investments in the energy transition sectors (e.g. solar, wind, distributed energy, EVs) as well as traditional energy infrastructure (e.g. midstream, LNG). Prior energy / energy-related experience is not required.
Associates will have the opportunity to participate in all aspects of the investment process from origination to execution. The lean size of the investment team and the extent of the deal flow require small deal teams and significant sharing of responsibility.
Blackstone seeks to hire individuals who are highly motivated, intelligent, and have demonstrated excellence in prior endeavors. In addition to strong analytical and quantitative skills, the successful candidate should have:
- Strong communication skills, a demonstrated ability to write effectively, and a desire to work in a team environment
- A solid knowledge of business strategy, finance and accounting is desirable
- 3+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, or private credit and knowledge of accounting and finance
- 1+ year of investing experience

Expected annual base salary range:
$150,000 – $170,000
Actual base salary within that range will be determined by several components including but not limited to the individual’s experience, skills, qualifications and job location. For roles located outside of the US, please disregard the posted salary bands as these roles will follow a separate compensation process based on local market comparables.
Additional compensation: Base salary does not include other forms of compensation or benefits offered in connection with the advertised role.
