As a Barclays Responsible Investing (RI) Specialist, you’ll be part of the Private Bank, developing RI business and driving the integration of RI implementation, to enable our clients generate better environmental, social and governance (ESG) outcomes through the investment products and services and delivering the best possible risk-adjusted returns. Raising the profile of our Sustainable Investing capabilities through specialist technical expertise, in line with regulatory, best practice requirements will be part of your role.

What will you be doing?
- Providing specialist technical and SME on sustainable investing and creating, managing the ESG content, design, and approach for the Private Bank’s Sustainable Investing
- Assisting the Head of the team with the development and maintenance of ESG related marketing collateral in line with the firms overall agreed Sustainable Investing strategy
- Providing information and advice on analysing and presenting ESG data to key internal constituents and relationship management teams with ESG-related enquiries
- Working with stakeholders to build and develop scalable processes/templates and incorporate reporting into the wider Private Bank reporting package
- Providing expert advice to help determine appropriate ESG content, metrics and case studies that demonstrate the Private Banks approach
- Staying up to date with existing and emerging regulatory client reporting requirements, market practices, standards development and producing content for wider Group ESG Reporting
- Supporting with running of the Sustainability Governance Forum and developing data dictionaries for ESG metrics, showing the ESG Journey in a positive light
- Submitting to key Barclays Group, ESG Ratings including the Dow Jones Sustainability Index, TCFD, Net Zero approach and climate PRI expectations, Carbon Disclosure Project, and the like
What We’re Looking For
- SME for the delivery of reporting/data change, assessing impact on business, defining and accepting business requirements and embedding changes and PRI assessment framework
- Specialist and practical experience of ESG integration/reporting standards and regulations including TCFD, SASB, the EU Sustainable Finance Directive and the revised UK Stewardship Code
- Solid grasp of ESG factors and Rating approaches, reporting standards and frameworks (e.g., GHG emissions, energy, water, waste, SBTi, CDP, TCFD etc.)
- Several years of professional experience in an investment management, asset management, client servicing role, involving writing RI/Sustainable investment related content
Skills That Will Help You In The Role
- Being innovative and resilient and open to the complexities and opportunities of building out a new offering and working within a large organisation, robust in championing views
- Graduate/CFA Certificate in ESG Investing and a second language is beneficial, ability to produce high quality content writing, marketing background
- Ability to relate the technical Sustainable Investing concepts to a wide range of stakeholders and clients both in an influential style
- Excellent and proven project management skills to work with different internal stakeholders to deliver the best outcomes for clients/the firms reporting capabilities
